We would like to invite you and appreciate your presence at the "NeoTrainS-2023" Neonatal transport simulation programme, organized by "Ahalia Medical Group" in collaboration with "MPROVE” group from UK, on Sunday the 8th of October 2023.
The simulation programme is unique in the sense that it involves hands-on simulation experience, immersing in the real-time scenarios and thus to thoroughly learn from the experience. The programme has a combination of skill-based stations and common clinical scenarios that are faced by clinicians on a regular basis. It also have some rare high-risk events and provides a multidisciplinary experience.

Overview of the Simulation Programme
-
This simulation is designed for practicing pediatricians and neonatologists who deal with transporting extremely critical and fragile newborn babies between different healthcare facilities.
-
This is a simulation-based education activity and delegates are exposed to various steps of arranging, stabilizing that are involved in transporting a newborn baby and get familiar with the equipment and troubleshooting accordingly.

Simulation activities are designed to cover common neonatal emergencies using a STABLE approach.
Learning objectives of the Programme :
By the end of the programme, delegates
• Have an understanding of physiology of transport
• Able to identify and stabilize a sick newborn baby prior to transport
• Familiar with the equipment involved in transport
• Understand the importance of preparation and planning for neonatal transport
• Understand the referral process
• Able to communicate using a structured technique such as SBAR technique to colleagues and other health care professionals involved in transport
• Able to manage common neonatal emergencies
• Able to effectively plan and prepare for transporting sick newborns in anticipation of possible neonatal emergencies and possible equipment related issues.
• Able to handover the newborn baby to the other medical team in a structured way.
• Able to perform a safe neonatal transport.
